May 30, 2011: Big Ride

P433

Buddy thought my iPad made a great headrest for the ride home.
We left Corbin, KY by 9:30 and were home at 5:30. Stops were few as we were READY to be home.
As we pulled onto Hill RD, I found another tick crawling on me. This one did not fare as well as the last one. Bill is not a pacifist.
Toula has not left my side since we got home. She is a momma's girl.

May 29, 2011: Travel Day

Not too much to report today. We packed up and moved out this morning from the KOA in Ladson, SC. We've no plans to visit Charleston again, but if we do... we definitely won't stay at that place again.
We drove all day, and made it to the very pleasant KOA in Corbin, KY. We LOVE this place. We stayed here on the way down to SC. Both ways, we've met nice folks camping near us.
It is a wooded area, and I found a tick trying to find some food. I knocked him off and he scurried along. Tick checks are in order for all of us before nite nite.
Tomorrow morning, we head home. I'm ready to be in our bed.

Vacation Day 4

Reality set in today that we're leaving Greenwood tomorrow. I spent the day clinging to Momma and Daddy, and feeling both sad that we're leaving and so very blessed to have had this chance to spend time with them.
Daddy made ribs, so we all overindulged on barbecue. The evening was cut short by a nasty thunderstorm. I said my tearful goodbyes to Momma since she'll not come out in the morning when we're loading up.
Tomorrow, we head toward Charleston. We'll visit with that boy Saturday before heading back north.
It's been a great visit. These days will be some of my favorites ever as an adult with my family. Memories I will treasure forever...

Vacation Day 2

More sleeping, eating, and fishing, but today Paul arrived! We took Bexar into the lake. He's an excellent swimmer, but only swims to shore. He hates the water.
Momma and Daddy came out. We roasted hotdogs and had all the fixins. It sure was good to have part of William's family finally meet mine.
